BY: YUSEF MCNULTY (former Solution Architect at Twelve Consulting Group)

Haley Tansom Fisher joined Twelve in 2016, 2 1/2 years after the company’s inception, and at a pivotal moment before Twelve began the rapid growth that brings us to today. One thing that makes Twelve special is that we foster an environment where employees can wear many hats. Haley is the epitome of this. Whether it’s creating internal collateral, leading well-being Wednesday exercises, or providing the best Anaplan solutions for our clients, she makes time for it all.

I joined Haley’s team (also known as “Team Halgorithms”) in the early half of 2018 and it has been a rewarding experience. Haley focuses on each team member’s career goals and ensures everyone has unique growth opportunities. I look forward to following our fearless leader’s laser focus in 2019. I recently took some time to ask her about working at Twelve and her experience with Anaplan.

1. Tell us about yourself and your background.

I am Minnesota-born and raised with a passion for numbers. I was a math tutor in college and studied both math and finance at the University of Saint Thomas. After graduation, I went to work in finance at a Fortune 500 company and a couple of years later ended up at Twelve!

2. What originally attracted you to Twelve?

Simple…Jill (founding partner at Twelve). I came onsite to meet with her and left very excited about the opportunity that Jill offered.  The collaborative space and authenticity of our interaction were the main drivers. However, I didn’t jump at the opportunity right away. After 3 months of constantly thinking about the opportunity, I sent a note out to Jill and shortly after met with Josh. After the meeting, I knew this was an opportunity I didn’t want to pass up.

3. Can you tell me about your career at Twelve and how it has prepared you for your current role?

I have had an encompassing career so far at Twelve. I started as a consultant and moved along through the implementation track to a Senior Consultant and Solution Architect. I was interested in all types of use cases/industries, culture initiatives, and any other available opportunity. I believe this has provided me with, great knowledge of Anaplan and Twelve initiatives, which I utilize in my day-to-day.

4. What is the most rewarding part of the managing consulting role?

Being able to see the growth of the team. Especially, watching new hires come in and get internally recognized for excelling in their day-to-day deliverables.

5. What value does Anaplan provide to clients?

Anaplan gives clients a source of truth and provides confidence in their analysis and planning. It also provides clients with the ability to grow the product internally after Twelve has completed an implementation.

6. What value does Twelve provide to clients?

Twelve exemplifies the meaning of a partnership.  We have a consistency to our project methodology and Anaplan knowledge. Twelve also has a great way of focusing on our clients' needs within the tool while utilizing past experiences to guide our clients to the best solution.

7. What are some things that you like to do outside of work?

I love a good sweat at Pure Barre. I also enjoy cooking and spending quality time with people.
